| Q:
How much will it cost and do you take my insurance?
A: We offer affordable treatment in
the form of a low initial payment and low
monthly payments. In most cases we do take
your insurance. In our initial phone conversation
we can let you know if your insurance is accepted
in our office.
Q: How long will it take?
A: We won't know that until we do the
initial exam and see what needs to be accomplished.
In most normal cases you are looking at 24-27
months of active treatment, followed with
retention.
Q: Will it hurt?
A: There are no shots and, in general
our patients fly through treatment. After
some appointments that include wire changes
you might experience some soreness or discomfort.
Aspirin or Tylenol or any other mild analgesic
is all that is usually needed.
Q:
Can my teeth be cleaned with braces?
A: Yes. We will show you the proper
way to care for your teeth and new braces.
You will, also, go back to your general dentist
twice a year for regular cleanings and check
ups. We will be sending a progress report
to your general dentist twice a year to let
him know of your progress.
Q: I work and my children go to school; what
about appointments?
A: Many of our patients have the same
problem. We have early 6:30 AM appointments
and after school times. Most of the long appointments
will need to be done in the morning or early
afternoon. The short working appointments
can normally be done in the later afternoon.
Our scheduling coordinator will work with
you to try to work appointments into both
our schedules.
