Skeletal Abnormality Treatment

When the jaws do not grow coincidentally, a skeletal abnormality develops.  In many cases this can be corrected while the patient is growing through the use of specific appliances. However, if the discrepancy is too great or the patient is in the final stages of growth or no longer growing, treatment may require both braces and jaw surgery to recreate a correct bite and facial harmony.
